SCORING AND TIMING - FLAG AND COMMUNICATION SCHOOL

School Master BOB DONLEY held quite an informative Flag and Communication School in the afternoon of April 30th in the Del City Elementary School gymnasium.

Bob Donley instructs while Margaret England holds a map of Ponca City.  The chalkboard behind Margaret shows the FOUR hand signals used in 1966. Can you identify what each signal means ? Answers are given at the end of this article

The turnout was especially disappointing in view of the fact that the weather was miserable and not conducive to working in the yard, playing golf, fishing or any of the other outdoor activities entertained by some. All you “busy” local individuals, who did not “show”, should make note that almost half of the thirty-three present drove in from out of town.

If you were not there, you really missed something. BOB did a grand job of making “cut and dried” facts interesting. It was an excellent school.
