Editor's Comments: Even while Hallett Motor Racing Circuit was under construction, Toly Arutunoff was talking about having unique events at "his" racetrack. One of his desires came to fruition with the "First and Second (and sadly the only) Annual Showroom Stock Champagne Suck" . Held on December 31, 1978 and Jaunary 1, 1979, and lasting less than 30 minutes, this event one upped all 24 hour races by covering two years. This article is from the January 19, 1979 Autoweek.
